help please with cutting mat

I am very very new and I have a question. I have a cougar machine and when I send to cut print and cut, my cutting mat is just pushed out of the machine - and I do not know why.
I would be most grateful if someone could tell me. The cutting mat is in the correct place and locked down as it should be.

Hi

This often happens when you are cutting too close to the edge of the mat, the pinch wheels loose their grip on the mat and the mat shoots out

I turn my mat by 90 degrees and find that helps - be careful to ensure that your mat can move back and forwards without losing grip

If in doubt set up your media on the mat and lift the blade assembly so it doesnt cut then test - keep on doing that till you have the mat where it holds then replace the blade at the correct level and off you go
