I can't cut anything

Post by janekinso »

I just got home with my new eclips, downloaded ecal and connected everything. When I try to cut, I get a flyout telling me that the device is not recognized, that I should disconnect in the order given, wait 10 seconds and reconnect in the order given. This happens every time I try to cut. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Did you try to shut down everything (computer and eClips). Then start computer, plug in eClips and open eCal. Do you have the most current update of eCal?

I did. Then I realized that my DH had connected the eclips to the computer with the Cricut cable. We fixed that and everything seems to be fine now, thank you, Sandy. :D You were very fast with assistance, too.
Now I can try those Monica Bjork files that I have been so anxious to cut.
Thanks again for quickly offering help.

Oh...that's funny. I'm surprised the eClips wasn't crying out in pain with the Cricut cable connected to it.

Well, actually it was.....you should have heard the high-pitched noise coming out of it!!! I thought I would have to send it all the way back to Cali. Even my DH with his hearing loss for high-pitched sounds heard it. ( I think he was just suffering guilt because he thought he had damaged my machine. ;) ) Back to it. It's been "playus interruptus"all evening with one thing and another. I NEED to play!!!!
