Hi

Can I ask does anyone have problems using the SCAL3 with the craftrobo silhouette [my silhouette was the one sold on QVC a few years ago]. I can cut with it but it does not appear to cut in the right place and also does not cut the whole shape ie I typed a word and it only cut the bottom half of the word, i have tried moving it down the page etc but still have no luck and am wondering if anyone else has the same problem and if so did they manage to rectify this. I have tried emailing craft edge but not sure they understood what i meant - so am hoping someone on the forum does!! ;) I have tried the software on windows 7 and windows XP but have the same problem on both operating system

Hoping someone can help

Will there be any videos to discuss the differences between SCAL 2 and SCAL 3? I would love to see some basic and advanced videos on Object>Rhinestones and I would like an explanation of Automatically Simplify Shapes under the Edit Tab in Preferences. I am new to SCAL as a whole, so up to date videos would be super for me. I can only follow so much of the SCAL 2 videos, because there are differences between the two version.

Thanks.

Regina, to my knowledge right now the two are the same just for different cutters. No doubt that CE will continue to enhance the program along the way and there will certainly be more features as the updates come along.

No, I do not have "inside" information I just have been around SCAL for a long, long time and Todd does not rest, he just keeps enhancing.

Asked CE the question....the software is the same for SCAL2 and SCAL3 (minus PC workability) so the same tutorials apply. By the way...anyone notice the number of views for this topic????

For the most part the versions are the same, but for questions I need answers to, they are not. There are some differences.

I tried to download SCAL3 as I was under the impression that you can put it into a separate directory file...but for some reason the update has to be done thru the SCAL2 menu (Window or wherever it states updating)...I'm not taking a chance of it over-writing my SCAL2 and screw up my use of the Cricut Expression. I was going to up-grade to a Silhouette SD machine, but it's a 6x12 mat...and it took me two to three years to get a Expression with 12x12 mat and I love the 12x12 size mat. And the new Silhouette Cameo coming out in a couple months --- too costly for my pocketbook. Plus I am used to the Expression and will use it till it dies.

Yes, I'm also facing the same problem. Is anyone provide the solution of this? How can we overcome this?
