Widening Fonts

Post by Scrapper1955 »

I don't know if there is a way to widen your letters (fonts) and keep the height....? I am trying to cut Curlz MT font and some of the letters are awfully skinny at some points. Is there a way just to widen the letters individually? Thanks for your help. :P

Hi, are you using Inkscape or SCAL2/3. The answer will be slightly different . BUT some fonts will not widen without a lot of work. I love Curlz and it is one of those that resist widening as far as anything I've tried in eCAL.

I am using SCAL2. I had some success in widening them some by bolding each letter. It pretty much fixed the letter so that it didn't come apart at the skinniest part when removing from the mat. Thank you for trying to help. :D
