scal with cricut

i have a cricut personal with version 1.31 i know cricut kicked up a stink with this scal program but as of six months ago my cricut worked with scal 1 and now all i get is checking mat status and it will not cut i have reset and changed cables is there any way to get it working again as i have a large project due in 2 weeks and i need my cricut. any help will be much appreciated.

Try shutting everything down, including and do a restart. See if that helps?

Were you able to get yours working...... I am also getting "checking mat" frozen box.
