macbook pro with OS 10.9.4 - RESOLVED

Post by LANUNEMAKER »

Hello! I just received my eclips 2 today. I have a macbook pro with 10.9.4 os system. The ecal software is not recognizing the eclips. I tried it on my imac with the same os software and it works fine. I need this to work with my macbook pro as it is what I use in my craftroom. I have tried the recommended troubleshooting (unplug the usb, unplug the power to eclips, wait 10 second, plug in the usb, plug in the power to eclips restart machine). The macbook pro is not recognizing the eclips at all.

Please help. Very frustrated!

I do have the ecal software loaded only desktop and laptop. Do I have to deactivate one to use on the other?

Unless it's changed you can use the software on two computers. Make sure that you are plugging the eClips in directly to your laptop and not a hub or keyboard. You might also try contacting Craft Edge directly for more help with this since the eClips2 is a new machine. http://www.craftedge.com/support/support_form.php

Thanks everyone. I got it working. When I was at the cut menu it was on Eclips, not Eclips2. Once I changed that everything was perfect. Craftedge support emailed me very quickly after I submitted a question... that was one of the things they suggested to check.
