Can barely see Trace Preview
Hi there! I'm a newbie. I'm using ecal for mac. I am waiting on my machine to arrive, but have downloaded and am learning the full version ecal. My question is this... when I watch videos of people tracing jpg, png files, the trace preview window is very vibrant. Mine is very faint. It does trace and it's a good trace, but it's very hard to see. Is there a way to change this? Attached is a screenshot of what mine looks like.

Re: Can barely see Trace Preview
Hi, try bumping up the contrast, it shows it is at 59 and you can go up to 100.
Also in ecal/Preferences bump up the alpha fill. I think the default is about 70, try going to 100.
Let us know if either one of these work. I assume you are using eCal 1.502 or 1.501 correct?

Re: Can barely see Trace Preview
Let's try something else or maybe a couple of somethings
Is it only happening in the trace preview or on your mat after the trace?
Did you try tracing in color instead
If that doesn't work, then if you can post the file here, without violating someone's copyright, then I can take a look and see what's going on.
What vs of Mac OS are you using? 10.xxx or ?

Re: Can barely see Trace Preview
I am using OS 10.9.3 (I believe), I'm not at home right now. It is only on the trace window that it's like that. It actually traces fine, but it would be nice to be able to see it better in the preview trace window. I'm using the latest version of ecal.. I checked for updates, there were none. (I removed the image link)

Re: Can barely see Trace Preview
Thanks I got the file. I can reproduce the problem. If you change color mode from monochrome to color you will get the image in preview. Sorry the only explanation I can give you is that there is a color: black so ecal is ignoring it.
Hope this helps and that when you eclips shows up it will work perfectly….

Re: Can barely see Trace Preview
Thank you! Ecal doesn't like black? I can recolor images in my photoshop. I actually recolored that one because I thought black would be best?
