eCal and Mavericks

Post by papasue »

I took the plunge today and upgraded to Mavericks! Both eCal and Inkscape worked, including cutting to the eclips without my doing anything at all. The magic just happened. :) :) :) :)

Hope when you upgrade you have the same experience.

You can tell from my signature what I am running now. I encourage all of you to add this information to your signature as it makes trouble shooting much faster and easier.

Happy Day

Sue, I upgraded a month or so ago and haven't had any software crash issues until tonight -- on both the MAC and the PC.
Are you aware if there have there been any reports of a Runtime error on PCs?

What did you upgrade that may have caused a problem? I only do Mac!

Sue, I haven't installed any additional programs since initiating Maverick. There usually isn't more than one other program open either. Last night, eCal was the only program I had open after starting the computer... so memory wasn't an issue. I"m getting ready to open it now and cut a couple of things. We'll see what happens. I haven't even attempted to open and do anything on the PC today. May try that tomorrow and see if some of the stuff I'm doing today will "fix" the problem.

Thanks for the support you offer to everyone here in the forum. It is appreciated!

Jan....first I want to thank you for the nice comment about my contribution to this forum, nice to be appreciated!

Now about Mavricks. I went hunting for runtime problems and found this for both of us but have not checked it out on my Mac mini. I have found little quirks in both ecal and Inkscape so I will check for java!

Sorry, I worked for Apple for 10 years..only did Win after I left and whined until new employer let me have my Mac :D

Good luck getting it all back together, let us know how you do.

One thing I am finding but it has to do with Inkscape (incase you use it) You must use xquartz from Apple, not x11 and at least right now I cannot get xquartx to stay on my dock, so I have to open it first, then open Inkscape.

Just a heads up!
