Desperate need of help

Post by Yontz710 »

Just got an eclips over a week ago and have yet to get it to cut properly. It leaves lines cut through the design. I have registered it, have calibrated it and am to the point I don't know what to try. I NEED it to work to fill orders for Christmas. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Have read some and tried the unplugging idea, it did not work and I am BEYOND irritated. It is picking up the vinyl as it cuts, not cutting entire design properly. Far too much money wrapped up in the machine, lost revenue potential, I am so VERY frustrated that it has been this much trouble.

When something upsets me like that, I just ask for a return label and refund.

Have you updated the software to version 1.009? Just a thought.

What blade depth setting are you using? It sounds like you might have it set too deep. Try making small test cuts until you have your settings figured out and the vinyl is only being kiss cut. You should also remove your blade from the blade holder to check for bits stuck around the blade. If your design has fine detail you might need to slow down the cutting speed also. HTH

In addition to all that Heather mentions above...did you Activate the software.
I know you said you registered...but that is not the same as Activate.

You will get these cut line in the trial mode, before activation....so it is just tough to know which and what is causing it for you.
