Ecal driver

Post by jewellstwo »

I am unable to install the driver for the eclips. I get an error message code 536870347. I am bummed because I cannot play with my machine. I only have the cartridge it came with since I was waiting for the software release.

Hi, I think maybe your answer is here
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=24928&start=50

It is on page 6 or the post where someone figured out how to get it to work.

Hope this works for you.

If you are using a 64 bit version of Windows and the driver will not install, please try to use this
http://www.craftedge.com/bin/ecal/eCAL_Drivers.zip

Download, unzip, and there will be 2 files
CE_SzEclips.inf
CE_SzEclipsDPinst64.exe

Right click on the "CE_SzEclipsDPinst64.exe" and choose to run it as Administrator

We have also posted a tutorial for manually installing the driver here

I just installed my new eCal software this afternoon, and even though the software says the driver is installed, it says it doesn't see the machine.

I've check to make sure the USB connections are connected securely, I've turned off my eClips machine, unplugged it, and then redid those steps again. I've uninstalled the software, and reinstalled it, but when I go to the driver portion, it says it's already installed and it never asks me for my serial number again, so I'm betting somewhere on my computer something is saved that shouldn't be if I want to do a clean install.

So my question is how to find the driver and delete it, and then try to do a clean install again?

I've been at this for 3 1/2 hours and am getting a little frustrated.

I have Windows Vista 32 bit.

Thanks for your help!

Those directions are for a 64 bit software.

I'm running Vista Home 32 bit.

OK evidently I'm a complete idiot. I was using the USB cord to my "remote" for the eclips machine. If I use the USB cord that goes directly into my machine it finds it. DUH DUH DUH!

Sounds like you have a good sense of humor about it. Glad it ended up being this simple. :P
