Hi,
Can SCAL 5 Pro generate intermediate registration marks? For example, if I have a sheet of shapes and want to add four marks at each corner and include registration marks between the corners, will SCAL 5 Pro generate them? If not, what's a good solution for a Mac user?
Thanks

Somehow, I missed your post.

The answer is yes and no. I developed a way to add them for printing only from SCAL for those cutters that can do a contour cut process within the cutter itself, if needed... for example, the Skycut cutters. You add the marks, print the project, and then export the files as a PLT file to save on a flash drive. Then on the Skycut you import the PLT file and perform the contour cut there.

What cutter do you own?

I don't think it has the ability to utilize intermediate registration, does it? Have you seen a video on it? Does your SB dealer say that it can?

Hi,
I haven’t asked but I don’t think SB Pro can do it either. The procedure is to align the laser with three dots for print and cut.
Thanks

Well, if you ever do need that functionality, look into a Skycut. While I've developed a method for how to print from SCAL and then import the PLT file directly onto the Skycut for scanning of the marks and cutting, it's actually much easier, for this particular function, to use a program called SignMaster which automatically will add extra intermediate reg marks when you need them and then conduct the automatic scanning and cutting directly from your PC (assuming you're on a PC and not a Mac).

Thanks Sandy. Yes I’m on a Mac so no SignMaster for me!
