I have packaging cuts where I first have to cut a score layer at light pressure and then a cut layre at higher pressure to cut out the box. It would be nice to be able to automate this process with the software

I'm not sure I understand. But you can go to your layers panel, and choose the layer you want scored, and go to where it says cut and change it to score. Do this to any layer you want scored. Then when you cut, it will cut the lines designated as cut lines, and score the ones designated as score lines, all in one pass of the cutter.
