File formats for forum

Post by HeatherM »

Since SCAL can now use AI and EPS files, it would be helpful if those formats could be posted to the forum.

Which version of SCAL opens .eps files?

The standard SCAL3 version does. The release notes say that it was added with version 3.042. ECAL probably does, but I can't update to the current version so I'm not sure about that and it's not listed in the release notes.

OK, I downloaded a FREE eps file from here http://all-free-download.com/free-vecto ... nload.html to give it a go.
file_icons.eps
(2.55 MiB) Downloaded 207 times
It seems to post ok but my eCAL doesn't like it at all. Tried new project, tried svg, tried place image. So I guess I don't see the point of being able to post it, but I am a little SLOW

Tried same thing in eCAL, but no results. They added the ability to post .eps here from a request to upload .eps and .ai files.

No word on being able to use in eCAL, though.

That file doesn't seem to have been saved correctly for SCAL3. I am able to import EPS files designed for cutting in SCAL3.

I tried attaching the file in AI format and the forum wouldn't let me. It said that the ai extension isn't allowed.
