Sizzix eClips and SVG files

A svg seller that works closely with SCAL was at the CHA convention and they showed a video where the newer Sizzix eClips is going to work to cut their files, which are svg's and I'm assuming they are talking about in conjunction with the SCAL software. Does anyone know anything about the Sizzix eClips and if it will be able to cut SVG files? I bought it after watching the video because I was impressed with what it can do, the price, and only want it to cut SVG's. I am keeping my Cricut and cartridges because I have too much invested in the machine and it's cartridges but I wanted another machine just to use for my svg's.
