Save the workspace to my own settings.

Post by ScattyCardCrafter »

e.g. I like to move the shapes box and font table over to my left i.e. right of the screen
like this.
My SCAL workspace as I like to keep it..jpg
My SCAL workspace as I like to keep it..jpg (161.99 KiB) Viewed 6916 times
then my picture is able to be viewed more completely.
As I work on a 12 X 12 mat makes more sense to me.

Thanks

We already have that option. It is in menu under Window/Workspace/Save Workspace. HTH

hmm This still doesn't save the view window size, only the placings for the tools bar etc.
Is there any hope this will be a feature in future.
Thanks

arrange your work space the way you would like to have it,
Click on the window button
select work space and from that drop down
select save work space
scal will ask you to name your workspace
say ok and it will all come back the next time you open it
and if for some reason you change it up you can always get back to it by clicking on the name

that is exactly what I do.
I even deleted all the workspaces I had, saved my current one that I like to work on initially BUT the window still resumes at a large size not seeing the 'full window' size.
Is this not doable?
Thanks for replying so quickly BUT I am still stumped
Does it not work the same on a MAc which is what I use mostly.
I do have a clunky PC with Win XP copy too for emergencies and Serif Drawplus use

I've had the same problem. Every time I open SCAL2 I have to reset my workspace the way I want it. It doesn't save it properly for some reason.

Mine is doing the same thing even though I have my own personal workspace saved. It's a bit aggravating. I am glad to see it's a bug.

I just quickly go up to 'View' and 'Fit to Window' and it brings it in as I like it without changing my setup, and then I use the + or - magnification tools in the 'Tools' bar as needed. I hope this helps.

Yes I know that I can do that but I it is annoying to have to do that as my SCAL keeps acting weird so I have to keep shutting it down and re-opening so having to start again.

But thanks anyway
