Ability to weld
If SCA could weld letters together, it would be absolutely perfect IMO!

Ditto! I agree! There is, however, a work around but it takes a lot to get it done. Having 'weld' in SCA would be great!

Re: Ability to weld
Okay, here goes (hope I understand this correctly):
Basically speaking, you type in whatever words or phrase you want, then you 'trace' it then save as .sgv.
The program to do that in is a free program, "Inkscape" from here: http://www.inkscape.org/
There is a tutorial here:
http://www.inkscape.org/doc/tracing/tut ... acing.html
After you have 'traced' your words/phrase and saved as a .sgv file, import that file into SCA.

Re: Ability to weld
I think you can 'pseudo weld' manually, but it is tedious. Type each letter separately - type a letter, move the cursor, type another letter, move cursor, repeat. This way, they are individual "objects" and you can move them independently. Then click on one and use the arrow keys to nudge in place. It's not super easy... but it works.
They are working on welding, but can't say when it will be available. So many people have asked for it, I think it'll be fairly soon ... ok, I'm hoping!

I tried this yesterday and it still cut the little cuts and didn't weld. can you send a picture of something you welded that worked using the nuge feature.wreed06 wrote:I think you can 'pseudo weld' manually, but it is tedious. I'm wrong. You can overlay on the screen, but the cutting cuts all lines anyway. I'm sorry.
