Church Boxes

Post by bookworm »

Just want to share (not so great) photos of my recent project... I made these gift boxes for my DD's class, one for each child for their first communion (DD asked each to name their favorite color). I used a file made from a template out of a book called "Papercrafting for All Seasons" (great book, BTW!), except I changed out the windows a little and embellished a bit. Inside of each church box (rolled in tissue paper) was a bookmark, a chocolate cross, and a glitter-filled ornament with their name and first communion date on them. It took me about three days to complete all of them. They were a big hit!

These are great. Can't even imaging the time spent putting this together. Gotta check out that book too.

Thank you all for your kind words.

I would love to share the file, but I must respect the copyright. You can purchase (or borrow from the library) a book titled "Papercrafting for All Seasons". The pattern is in there. I scanned in the pattern as a jpeg file and imported right into SCAL.
