Craftedge posted a update 2.013 and many people reported problems with it so they took it off the site to debug it. They put 2.012 in it's place temporarily until they get the new 2.013 update fixed.

I have tried several attempts to update my SCAL2 without success. It keeps downloading as SetupSureCutsALot_2_012[2].1.2D0D17.efw file and tells me that it opens with HIPS Email attachment helper. Is there somewhere else I need to go to get the windows .exe download?

Is the update free or do we need to pay for it? Is it hard to learn the new functions?

If you only have SCAL1 yes you pay for the updated SCAL2 software.. Someone had it on a low price on their blog. .I can't remember off hand..

I'm having problems with my program freezing on me. What do i do?

Me too, especially when i'm messing with the path or I've been playing on it for awhile. I find that if I save what I'm doing, then close the program myself, and reopen it, it works fine. It's almost as if there is too much memory being used from my moving objects and changing shapes and the program needs to be "cleared".

I saw on a friend's blog, that she was extolling the new shapes and functionality of SCAL 2, particularly the swirl shapes in the basic library. I don't see swirls in any of the categories. Is this something that was added during the taking down of 2.013 and restoring 2.012 to the download? Do I need to re-download 2.012?

I cant see an update, just a page asking me to buy the version i already have
