Exporting registration marks for Printing in Corel Draw

Hi,

I am using SCAL 4 with Corel Draw, I have designs which will be printed then scan and cut, How do i export exact registration marks to Corel draw and send them to the printer.

Please advise.

This is a quick answer to what will probably be a little more involved.

There are two ways to export the reg marks: Use SVG which has an option to add the SCAL reg marks. Or you can use a Print to PDF option, such as Microsoft Print to PDF or the similar one that's part of Mac's O/S and make sure mark the Print registration marks option in the print settings window.

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the reply, One question is all my designs are in CMYK, but when i import and export from SCAL the output is in RGB. I do not see any option to change that, Any advise. Thanks.

Yes, and this is the number one reason why Corel Draw and Illustrator owners will often prefer to use those programs for printing their PNC projects. Thus, the reason why I mentioned two ways to get your registration marks exported to Corel Draw.

I wrote up a detailed method that we recommend for those who own KNK cutters (the ones I support). It's Section 11.07 in this user manual and it SHOULD work for you, even though I don't know which cutter you own.
