Multiple Batch Cutting

Please vinyl gods, I need your help. I'm new to vinyl cutting, and have searched the internet high and low for an answer with no success.

Is it possible to do multiple cuts of the same file automatically?

Basically, I'm looking to make 50 - 60 stencils, which are 15" x 18" each and would like to just walk away from the machine while it's doing its thing.

I'm part of a shared space and don't know the exact cutter we use - but can find out if it's necessary. I believe it's a USCutter LaserPoint II.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

-Adam

If you are cutting from a continuous roll of vinyl AND you own SCA4L Pro, it's an easy thing to do. Post back if BOTH are true and I'll give you further instructions.

Thank you for the response! I am using both (a continuous roll of vinyl, and SCAL4 Pro)

There's a feature called Extras that's part of SCAL4 Pro. You can check out details in the SCAL4 User Manual at this link:

http://www.iloveknk.com/0um/ZingOrbit-w ... CAL-UM.pdf (Section 10.06.4)

Note... I've never personally tested it for a REALLY long cut. Also note that other decisions go into those long cuts like moving your vinyl long distances with the set origin funtion to make absolutely sure the vinyl will feed the complete length without bunching up at some point. You'll also want to set your End Action to "Do Nothing" or "Advance Amount." Also, if your design in complex, your cutter could pause at some point due to memory issues. It's always a good idea to do a test run with no blade holder inserted JUST to make sure it successfully completes.

Post back if you have questions after checking out the UM. Otherwise, good luck!
