How to cut very long graphics

Post by patsyz1 »

I am trying to cut a long graphic, but no matter how I place it on my mat in the SCALPro design software, the machine keeps wanting to feed the 53" long object sideways through the 24" wide vinyl. I have tried changing from portrait to landscape; that didn't work. I tried changing the mat size from 24W X 53H to 24H X 53W; that didn't work. How can I tell the cutter to take my long graphic and cut it the long way the vinyl feeds through the machine?

I sent in a help ticket because there MUST be an easier way than what I just did. I made my work area 60" X 60" then just put my graphics on the left 22 inches of the work area. This seemed to tell the machine to cut it out of one long piece of vinyl as it fed through the machine.
