Post subject:  Need Help with Plotter Cutting Jumping around

Hey Guys ive been searching for the last hour trying to find help and no luck so figured id join and hope some one can point me in the right direction.

my issue.

I'm using a us cuter SC model. and sure cuts a lot 3 pro

whenever I go to cut anything. words specifically. I'm cutting a basic font over and over to fill up the roll of vinyl and my plotter seems to jump from cutting the fist letter to cutting the 3rd letter then to jumping over to the second sticker to start cutting its 1st letter, then back to the 1st sticker. It doesn't seem to have any sense of direction. Its causing the letters to overlap.

is there a setting I'm missing or something so It doesn't jump around so much?

I am not sure I understand but I'll try. If you have typed in words:

If it is the same word over and over did you copy/paste the word or did you use duplicate
are the letters overlapping a bit or are they separated?

can you share the file you are working on as it will make it easier to diagnose.

The plotter cuts both R's
then jumps to the top to cut the stripes. Then back to cutting the lettering. It does something similar with anything else I cut.

thisis what I'm cutting.

its cuts the R's then jumps to the top to cut the stripes, then back to the wording. Anything I cut does the same thing. Plotter just kind of jumps around to different sections to cut

The scal file would be more useful if you do not mind so I can see the construction and layers.

I've messed with this a lot and I can get it to cut nicely but it is still jumping around. I have sent the file to Craftedge to see what they think is going on. In the meantime here is an svg that does cut although there is still some jumping around. You will have to resize it up to your desired size as I am working on an eclips that won't go that large. Try and cut this one and see how you do....I'm still curious.

I'm using the latest version of Inkscape on a Mac

Craftedge might contact you soon.
