Knife tool
Ok so this is probably ridiculously simple but I can't get it to work and it's driving me nuts!!:-( everything I've read says to use the knife tool you just drag it across the image but ive tried that and nothing happens:-( what am I missing???
Re: Knife tool scal4/ecal2
It is ridiculously easyEXCEPT for the fact that you get NO visual cue that you've done anything. ....design bug! I put this quick visual together that will hopefully see how to do it. Let me know how you do...and anyone else who tries it!

Re: Knife tool
Just to add a piece of info. When you use the knife tool and the object has color, you see a thin red line showing where the slice is. You need to look closely to see it (red and orange colors make it really difficult to see.
After you make the slice, the image loses it's color as the path is broken.
When you close the path, as papasue explained, the color to the object comes back.
