Re-opening a saved file in SureCutsALot2

Post by craftyjiver »

I am avidly following the online tutorials. I have written a word and saved it as a Scut2 file. When I try to reopen it it appears in the preview box, but won't transfer onto the cutting main screen. I have tried double clicking it, or clicking once and pressing "open". What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
PS - I CAN open other SVG file I have imported from the internet (they appear as a big "e" on the logo) - my saved ones have no logo!

What version of SCAL2 do you have? You might need to update to the final release which was 2.043 or 2.044 if I remember correctly.

Not sure how I reply to your reply! (Not used to these forums!). I have looked at "properties" and it just says: SureCutsALot2.Ink!

When you open SCAL it will show a box with the version number for a short time while it is loading. You can also find it in the SCAL menu. Another possibility is that the files don't have the correct association with them. Probably easiest for you to look that up for your computer OS.
