Hi there,
My SCAL no longer works with my Cricut Expression. Whenever I try to cut something, it says:
Status: Please correct reported errors
Mat Loaded: Connection error
I know that SCAL doesn't work with circuits anymore, but if I have the older version why wouldn't it? I tried changing the usb cable and it still doesn't work. I haven't updated my SCAL or my firmware. I really can't afford to buy another machine just so it works with SCAL so I'm begging for your help I have a cartridge and mat in it, btw!
Thank you
Marie

Re: SCAL v2 with Cricut Expression
Some ideas:
Did you shut down and restart everything?
Is your USB cable a new one?
Does your cricut cut fine with just the cartridge?
Do you have another USB port on your computer you can try?

Hi there and thanks for your reply
I shut everything down and restarted everything. The USB cable I'm using is the same one I used when it was actually cutting, and I bought another one from Dollar Tree today and it's doing the same thing, no matter what port I'm using. I'm running OS X 10.9 on my iMac if that makes a difference. And yes, my cricut cuts with just the cartridges- I'm so frustrated!

Re: SCAL v2 with Cricut Expression
Ahhhh I realize what it is now. It's because I updated my Mac to 10.9. I tried it on my laptop which uses 10.8 and it works, so now I either need to use my activation code on my laptop (which I probably can't do) or revert my other computer back to 10.8. What a nightmare!! Thanks

Re: SCAL v2 with Cricut Expression
Knowing that you updated to Mavericks changes things. Craft Edge posted a fix here. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=38512
