SCAL 5 Cannot see Cutter on M1 Mac

Post by Rainbow2022 »

Using a new M1-chip-based MacBook Air 2020 running Mac OS Monterey, the Titan 28" cutter (U.S . Cutter) can no longer be seen (connected via USB hub) from the SCAL 5 Pro software. I have tried multiple USB hubs.

I don't personally support Titan cutters so I can't help you with this. I recommend you do the following:

(1) Go to US Cutter's web site's support page for your model and look for any kind of driver update. It was my understanding that they were no longer needed on the latest Mac's but that would be for the cutter brands I support.

(2) Go to US Cutter's User Forum where might find someone with your particular cutter using the latest Mac O/S.

(3) Submit a support ticket at Craft Edge's web site.

Good luck! And once you have it working, please post back so that future Titan owners will know how to fix the communication issue.
