Faux Leather Earrings

Post by ldpopp »

Has anyone purchased Faux Leather from Hobby Lobby and tried making earrings using SCAL?
I bought a leapord print and it cut just fine! I also bought a rose gold (which seems a bit thicker) and it wouldn't cut all the way through. My blade setting is as deep as it will go, so maybe I'm missing something with the software. Just curious if anyone has had this problem!
I'm new to the forum :D
Thanks for any help

Depending on which cutter you own, you may not be able to cut the thicker leather if the blade isn't long enough to fully penetrate the material. For example, if the blade is only, for example, 0.15 inches long, it can't possibly cut a material that's 0.2 inches thick. Know what I mean?

yes, I know what you mean!! I did more research and turns out I can buy a "deep Cut" blade. So I ordered it from Amazon yesterday, and it came in today!! Works perfectly!! Yay!
