Everything I export from SCAL5 to ScanNCut2 comes over smaller...why is this happening?

Every vector program has its own default DPI is uses for SVG. Thus, this is a common issue with those who design in one program but cut from another. You have two options:

(1) Export as FCM which is Scan N Cut's own format. You still use File>Export but then you can change from SVG in that window to FCM.

(2) If you still prefer SVG, then in second window when exporting you'll see a menu of DPI options. I'm not sure which one SNC uses, but if you pick other options, you may find one that imports the same size as it was created in SCAL.

I´m having this problem too. It says the Brother 840 runs on 300 DPI and I tried to use that instead of the default but then the design comes out much bigger than in the program.

If I try to save it in fcm, which would be ideal, the program just shuts down. I have only been able to get it to save my design like this a couple of times and only after several tries :(

Check to see if you're now on 5.014 (which came out about a week ago). If you're on an earlier version, then go here to download and install 5.014 which fixed the FCM export issue.
