Sure Cuts a lot Pro for Mac Demo installs expired

Post by Jeffola »

I have tried this once before, but I have a Mac and am buying a Graphtec Ce6000, I don't want or need a windows PC, so this software probity will "Cut it" (See what I did there?).

Anyway I emailed support this time, and am awaiting a response.

Last time, they got back to me and said try the basic version, but I want to try the version im buying. Anyone have any help? Or else this software is worthless.

All you need to do is go back to Craft Edge and purchase SCAL5 Pro. You will be sent an email with your registration which converts a trial version into a registered version. There is not need to re-install, although because there are regular updates to SCAL5, you might want to go ahead and reinstall anyhow.

Here are some links:

To re-download SCAL5 Pro to make sure it's the latest available: http://www.craftedge.com/download/download.html

To purchase SCAL5 Pro: http://www.craftedge.com/purchase/craft ... al5pro.php

Please feel free to post any other questions you have.

So your saying (and this is what I am reading) that I HAVE to buy the package to test it?

That to me is a big problem. I know people scam usage from you, but if I buy it and its not going to do what I want it to, and your support takes up to three days to get back to me, thats a show stopper.

thats it, buy it to try it?

Great business model. With three support turnaround it seems like thats not such a good idea.

You can't resolve this issue, how can I expect once I plunk down $199 that when an issue arises it will get resolved at all.

You do not have to purchase the software in order to test it. You download the trial version and you have 15 days of usage before it expires. If you have questions or issues, post them here and I'll do my best to answer them promptly. I'm just a volunteer but I do check in at least once a day. During the trial, you cannot save files (as I recall) and if you cut to your cutter, there will be watermark cuts added.

Note that with the cutting programs I've tested, this is a fairly standard practice with slight variations in what trial mode allows. If this isn't acceptable to you, then I suggest you research and find other cutter programs with more lenient trial version policies but will still work with your particular brand and model of cutter.

By the way, I apologize that my first response was misleading! I guess I hadn't finished my first cup of coffee yet. :(

Understood, and thanks. The pro version NEVER operated on my computer, it was expired from day one. I guess you are right, I will look for some other software.
