Cutting Lines

Post by collagestudio45 »

Hi...I'm new to Sure Cut and have a silly question. How do you assign things to cut and not cut but print. I use Silhouette now and just bought a silver bullet but can not figure this step out.

Thanks for the help!

Select a layer and, on the Style Panel, you select what you want to do with that particular layer. Here's a PDF I put together that explains each choice:

Then, I also have a user manual that will explain all of the various SCAL5 functions in detail. Try using it as a reference book when you're not sure about a particular function but don't hesitate to post back here with questions and issues:

Thank you so much! I thought it might have to do with the layers after I thought about last night. I'm so used to using the Silhoutte software it was throwing me off. I will review the things you recommended.

Thanks for getting back to me

You're welcome! And switching from one cutting program to another is always a bit of a battle at first. Most functions are preformed differently, nomenclature is mostly different, learning where things will cut can be more difficult to grasp. But eventually it all comes together and you're good to go!
