I was wondering, if scal has automatic back up. I have been working in mtc for YEARS and I can NOT even begin to tell you how many times auto back up saved my tooshy! I am no trying to switch over and I am missing so many features! But, I have gained a lot too. That was just a function I relied on. Thanks for taking your time to try and help me.

SCAL has auto-recovery which means it is automatically backing up files and, upon a crash, it will recover files you had open at the time of the crash. Unfortunately there isn't an option to control how frequently it performs a backup so, like I do with a LOT of other programs, including all of the user manuals I write in MS Word, I choose to just do my own backups as a force of habit.

Thanks Sandy, it’s kind of what I figured. I guess you can’t have it all!
