Craft Edge

Hello! I had recently been using the cricut craft room with my cricut expressions to load the mat. I do not have any cartridges for it. So this was the only way I could load the mat then use SCAL2 to cut the design. Is there another program or another way to load the mat? The new design studio doesn't recognize the expressions and the cricut craft room is discontinued. I tried the original software cricut designstudio but it doesn't have a load mat feature either.

TLDR: How can I load the mat without a cartridge?

Did a lot of searching and found a way how. I took a peice of cardboard and some wire and made the wire touch pins 2, 3, 5 then tied the other end of the wire all together which made it think the george and shapes v1.0 cartridge was in and now everything works fine.
