Hi all,

I have SCAL4 Pro with the Silver Bullet cutter.
I'm cutting the attached image, but the cutting order is very erratic - one bit here, one bit there.

Any way I can optimise the cut order in SCAL pro?

Thanks!

Michael

There is no cut order control available. It is on users' wish lists, however, so maybe someday.

One thing you can do, is to Break Apart the image. Then go back and apply Merge on select groups of the shapes and each group should cut before the head moves to the next group. The only other option is to try to ignore the cutter while it's cutting so it doesn't drive you nuts listening to it move so much. lol At least you own a fast cutter like I do!

Hi Sandy,

Thank you so much for your reply - yes I thought it was impossible the normal way.
In the silhuette cutter they have a "fastest cut" and "fewest roller movements" option which is fantastic, so hopefully we can see this in SCAL one day.

In the meantime your two options sound a good idea!

Ps, I just bought some cheap polyprop sheets to use as mats - the machine now runs like a DREAM!
