Sure Cuts A Lot (ver 4.063) crashes when I try to load a file to trace (i have tried a .jpg and a .pdf with the same results) I have done this in the past but no longer works since update!
Can any body help please

what computer OS and version are you using?
Are you using file import, or place image to get the jpg etc on the mat?

These answers may help a bit in figuring it out.

File>Import cannot be used to import a JPG file. The only raster type that can be imported that way is a PNG file. For a PDF, only the vector part of that file will be imported.

To test your JPG, try either File>Place Image or File>Trace Image. I'm not noticing any difference with version 4.069. I just now tested a 13 mb PNG file and a 6 mb JPG file and they both worked. How large are your files? I'll try to find larger ones in my stash to test.

I still need more information, as I requested, regarding the file size of your JPG before I can test things myself. Or you can provide one of your files for me to test. It is possible that if it's REALLY large... say, larger than 20 mb, that MIGHT be the issue. But I've not seen a size limit posted for SCAL or for any other cutting program, actually. Happy to try to help... but need more from you!

I am having the same problem. I am trying to trace a jpg that is 15.4 mb. I have Windows 10. Thanks for any help or advice.

Never mind! I rescan the picture at much lower resolution and now that the file is 1.1 MB, all is good.
