Text into a shape HELP

I joined the forum specifically looking how to make text into a shape. I know it can be done in Inkscape, but I bought this because it is more user friendly. I am hoping it can be done here too. I'm not "grasping" the Inkscape tutorial either. :roll: I hope someone can help me. Im trying to write team names in a football shape right now. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Inkscape MAY still be your best option. The problem is that there are two very different ways of envisioning what you asking. Start with this one which is a post with a video that I made years ago and let me know if, yes or no, this is what you need to do:

If the answer is no, then find a link or draw a picture or something that will define what it is you're hoping to create. Maybe we can help! :)

Like this. I finally watched Troy tube and figured it out all except mine moves on it’s own when doing the last part to union them. But I would rather still hope I can do it in scal

Barrel Distortion and/or Bulge are the two functions that might be able to do this particular shape. Have a look at my examples in Sections 9.14 and 9.15 of this user manual:
