Question re new Circuit Air2

Post by karinds »

Hello everyone,

I'm considering retiring my Sizzix clips and looking at the new Circuit Air2 and wondering if anyone else has it and using a MacBook and Sure Cuts Alot and how you are finding it.

thanks

Hi, Craftedge and Cricut parted ways several years ago and no newer craftedge software will work with a Cricut product.

Check here for cutters that will work for you.

Don't forget that the Cricut Air cutters require internet access to cut. Even the best internet goes out once in a while, and no cutting when that happens. Also, a caution if you have an older computer. Provo Craft in the past has retroactively changed system requirements to use their cloud based program, so some people were left with the option of either having an expensive Cricut Air paperweight or buying a new computer.

All cutting with the Explore models must be done through their Design Space software.

You can use Sure Cuts A Lot to make the design and export as a compatible SVG to use in Design Space as shown here

Thank you so much everyone. I saw an advertisement for the new Circuit and it looked pretty good. I've also had people tell me though to go for the cougar cutter which I don't now anything about so I need to do some research I think before buying a new cutter, I currently have the first series of the Sizzix eclips

Although heather M is correct for computers... you can still cut offline - no internet if you are using an iPad and your machine has bluetooth capabilities.
