SCAL 4 convert outlines to single stroke IE fonts

This may be a dumb question, but is there a way in SCAL to convert an outline of a shape to a single stroke like a font. I would like to just draw a shape without having it outline the entire line i am using. I have a design that i would like to draw on material that is larger than what my printers can handle and would like to use my cutter and SCAL to produce this. even if this is doable with another app like Inkscape any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Did u try setting stroke to none? I'm not sure I understand, could u post an image of your file?

Attached is a photo of the file i am working with. It is a pattern i wish to draw out and color by hand. Any time I trace the image i get an outline of the lines and not just a path of the line. Setting the Stroke to 0 or none when doing a preview i still get an outline of the image.

Original is black, and trace result is the red.

I am not understanding what you want. I did this with your file, trace and remove fill.

Is this it? You want to print it or draw with pens and then color in by hand?

No. this is a line drawing that i am trying to DRAW not CUT. i do not want an outline of the lines. i only want a single trace of the line. i will be using a sketch pen not a blade for this. i essentially want to 'PRINT' this with my machine using a pen. not draw outlines of the design.

using this link below is an example of what i am trying to trace. i realize its lower quality but the same idea of what i am trying to accomplish. i am trying to reproduce this image with a pen. i can trace it and get the outlines, but that is not what i am trying to do. if it can't be done thats fine i will find another way to produce what i am after. i just hoped id get some help trying to get this accomplished.

When you import the original image into the Tracing Window, try setting the Single Line Threshold really high... even try the maximum of 100. That might achieve what you want. It will depend on how thick the original lines are in the image.
