I have Cricut Expression 1 (firmware 2.32)
I own SCal 2.0
I use Macbook Pro (OSX Yosemite)
If I buy SCal 4.0 I will still have issues (or so it seems) getting my designs to cut, because if I read correctly, I will export my designs from SCal 4, open them in SCal 2, then try to cut. Problem is that SCal 2.0 no longer works (due to my OSX I believe). It always says there's trouble with the cutter.
So sad. Has anyone been able to work around this issue?

I'm cutting ok with the same setup.
I would try to download and install SCAL again
