SCAL 3 Pro, win 10 and USCutter

I just bought this cutter a few weeks ago and I'm still dialing it in to the correct pressure/cut settings. But here area a few things I'm really frustrated by SCAL.

Every single time I need to cancel a job, it crashes. When I reopen it and select yes to open from where it crashed, half of my text in my cut project is missing. So I have to re-import the svg and make the adjustments that it needs before I cut. I tried saving it as an SCAL project after I made all my changes, but when I open that project, same issue. Half of my text is missing.

Next issue. When I select cut, it shows incorrectly in the cut preview. Like part of it is missing when it's not. So I ignore the preview and hit cut, and instead of starting at the top where the arrow is on the cutting mat in SCAL, it starts from the bottom. It's like it flips the entire thing for cutting.

Am I missing settings here that would correct those issues or am I just going to have to deal with these "quirks"?
