how do you compress the text like to go from one side of a baseball to the other inbetween the laces

Sorry but I don't understand what you want to do....can you post a picture of something that resembles what you want?

Hi, the best you can do in ecal2 or scal4 is to use effects/bulge. . Here are the settings I used but adjusting the curve is kinda fun to see what comes up. A fat font works best, try several until you get the look you want.
