Multi-cuts not lining up.. Pls assist

Post by Margo W »

Hi everyone,

I am having trouble with my cuts not lining up on the 2nd cut. I have cleaned the blade and adjustef the speed but it doesn't help. Is there a default setting for expressions? Maybe the housing is off?

Thanks for any tips

Make sure you have the latest version above, and
you can go to the site for your cutter and get information about resetting the machine...I can remember how to explain it. If you search this forum, you may find instructions, also, for resetting the machine to default position...I guess that is what it does.

I didn't read the entire link you posted, but when you do the reset feature it states the expression goes back to all of the factory default settings. Don't know if that affects the firmware or not?? If you use SCAL, you might want to check that out too.

That was one thing I hated about the expressions and provocraft machine you could all most never recut in the same place twice no matter what. I don't think it is your housing but in fact it is the way the machine is tracking back and forth on the mats is not perfect so cut are not always perfect the larger the design the more it will be off.

If your mat edges are curling it can throw things off too.
