Zing and SCAL

Post by etribke »

I would like to know if there are any updates on the drivers for the Zing?

How do you like the Zing? I have been looking at it and it seems like a good machine. Doesn't it come with MTC software?

I currently have the Gazelle but having a problem getting supplies. I would rather have a machine that has accessories readily available and I believe you can also use other bladeholders with the Zing.

I was under the impression that the Zing would only work with MTC.
I could be wrong, but I thought I read that over on the KNK forum

Try emailing Craftedge about the drivers for the Zing. You might not need anything special to use SCAL. Please let us know your experiences with the machine. I am seriously considering it but I do believe it has a learning curve. On my Gazelle, many setting are on the machine but when watching the Youtube vids for the Zing, there was a window come up for making adjustments.

Pls keep up posted. I am very interested in the punching and the engraving.

I played with my Zing yesterday, and I love everything about it. I did not find the initial setup or the machine to be at all intimidating. If you have had the MTC software and a cutting machine before I don't find the learning curve any different. The machine itself is pure pleasure. Just go over the online manual while you wait for delivery and all will be great! The only limitations is our own imagination!
Setting the blade depth is just common sense, and the online video is great. I have no regrets.
