Air Eraser Etching and Air Brush Painting Question

Anyone have any experience with this and can point me to tutorials or sites for beginners? My hubby got me an mini-compressor with the air brush tool and an air eraser kit (which I think I can use for etching with cut vinyl or other images). Know he means well, but I have no idea how to use them and what to do with them as it relates to scrap booking, card making, etc.

Before I ask him to return it (as I am not the greatest artist) can anyone give me any suggestions?

I did start a search of You Tube. Just didn't find anything that helped me much. I did see one of Penny Duncan's projects on her site using the air eraser instead of etching cream. It is amazingly beautiful and I can't image I can do anything near as good as that. Will keep looking for videos, but I'm afraid it might be out of my league.

Air Eraser Etching on tumblers has been a huge thing over at the other forum, you might want to check out some of the threads there for tips and tricks. One particular You Tube has been a reference for some, Ed Hubbs, he has many videos on this, even one featuring kids using the airbrush. Here is a starter for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mNih650 ... re=related

I came to tell Sandy about this video and here it was already. Of all the ones I watched this was the most detailed. Looks easy enough, but what doesn't when an expert is doing it.

Thank you....will look at these. Felt so bad telling my husband I didn't know what to do with it but he wants me to keep it and see what I come up with. (Show a man anything to do with a tool (the mini-air compressor) and that made it worth the investment in his mind.

Hi to all,Airbrush painting is so different from other forms of painting, that it really is a learning experience. Mistakes in airbrush painting are very unforgiving. You cannot lay on layers because the thickness gives it a very different quality, and it's a quality you do not want. Thanks for your nice post.
