Easy way to use fonts

I don't like the idea of overwhelming my windows font folder with my thousands of fonts so this is how I handle it. I have another folder in my documents that I keep all my fonts in and also use it to download fonts. When there is a particular font I want to use I open that font and minimize it. Then I open up Inkscape and it will appear on the font list. You must open Inkscape after you open and minimize the font folder or it will not be on the Inkscape list.
