It says Cutting is Complete...but doesn't cut

Could answer this for me? Why is is that when I cut in SCAL, sometimes it goes through all the checks ie. checking firmware, etc. and it then says cutting is complete...when it has not even cut anything? I am working on a word book. I cut out 2 of the letters then put another piece of chipboard in to cut out more and it goes through all the checks and says complete, but doesn't cut. I turned the cricut off and restarted, but still no luck. I have had this problem before and I think I rebooted the computer and then it worked. I just don't want to reboot every time.

Didn't you check your blade on the Cricut to make sure it didn't move on you ,especially if you were cutting heavy material .

I don't think the blade is the problem. I think maybe the firmware needs to be updated or reinstalled. If nobody else responds, you might email Todd.
