I'll do what you suggested and so I resolved, back to count.
My English is fair (I use the translator).
I am Brazilian and many things sound strange to me at the time to translate!

How do you know what firmware is running on your machine? I just purchased SCAL and have watche the tutorials but I have not cut anything yet because I'm not sure what firmware I am running?

I just had extensive email with Provo/cricut staff who said that if you download Cricut Design Studio (CDS) from their website (seem to be many like me who still use it), the software will auto update a Cricut expression machine to ver 5.7, making it impossible to use the machine with SCAL2 software. I believe SCAL2 will only work with the machine if the firmware is not higher than 2.34. I am not going to take a chance on installing CDS and loosing ability to use wonderful SCAL2. Now have to go back to using cartridges to cut with no software...ugh...all because of Provo greed.

Craft Edge - I thought SCAL2 was grandfathered in the lawsuit. How can Provo block its use in an old software it offered prior to the lawsuit?
