Hi, I just purchased SCA last week but have not had the time to really play with it yet. I quickly tried it after downloading the software just to make sure that it worked. My question is how do you load the mat/paper into your Cricut? I am sure there is a simple answer. I had to plug in a cartridge so my Expression would load the paper. Please tell me if there is a different way. Thanks!

Loading paper in the Cricut
Re: Loading paper in the Cricut
according to another post here somewhere, you do indeed need to have a cart in the machine to get the paper to load.
hope that helps!

Yes, the machine will not cut without a cartridge in place. I don't think it matters which cart you have. Hope that helps!

You do need to have a cartridge in your Cricut. That is because the Cricut can be used without the computer hooked up and that is part of the machine specifications.
It doesn't matter which one you use.
SCA does not read the cartridge but rather the computer tells the Cricut what to cut.
Hope that makes sense.
