My Cricut Expression Version 2.31

I checked the Preference box. under 'Cutter', there is uncheck 'Remember Cricut Model and Firmware'

Now the problem is when i click Cut at the SCAL and choose 2.3 version, there is pop up box appear and the order is 'checking Mat'

and the cricut still did not connect with SCAL..

What about Install USB Driver at Help menu?
there is 3 option
Install USB Driver
Install USB Driver (Force)
Uninstalll USB Driver

Im just try to install again USB Driver in 'Help' menu

and then try to cut

now appear box Cutting With Cricut...Starting Connection... but it nothing appear in the box

Do I have to have the paid version of SCAL for the usb to work? Everything else seems to be fine (firmware 2.31) cricut expression. Thank you, Kathye

As long as you have everything installed it should work with the trial version. But, it will have water mark cuts through your design til you get the paid version.

I'm so sorry to post a dumb question! I am new to SCAL and Cricut, but not to computers and yet I forgot to allow the new hardware to load before I asked for help. Kathye
