WYSIWYG Issue **Cutting Foil Quilled Shape**

Post by mmhockeyfan »

Hi,

I'm having trouble with WYSIWYG. I have a Silver Bullet cutter and use SCAL 4 Pro.
I'm trying to cut a foil quilled shape. Using WYSIWYG, I foil quilled a heart that I got from SCAL's library and cut around the heart by cutting its shadow. I attempted the same with a square and achieved the same results.
I've reset my Silver Bullet twice and that didn't cure the issue. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

I want you to do a test first. Put a single 1" square on the screen (doesn't have to be perfectly 1"... just something close to that). Then, Foil it, remove the FQ and then cut it... same shape. See if it cuts perfectly through the foiled line on all 4 sides. This will tell you if the adapter you're using places the tip of the FQ in perfect centered alignment with the blade tip.

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, it didn't cut perfectly as shown in the pictures. I'm using the "C" adaptor, which fits my machine. The "A" fits as well so should I test with that one or try something else? The only discernible difference I can see between the "A" and "C" adaptors is that the mouth at the top of "A" looks wider than "C".
Thanks

Yes, definitely try the same thing with the other adapter. If that fails, as well, then maybe contact the Silver Bullet support forum to find out if anyone has any special tips on how to get perfect alignment. I have my own methods for KNK and Skycut owners that I've started documenting but not had a chance to complete and publish. I"m sure there are SB owners who have developed some methods of their own by now.
