Don't forget you have LOTS of shapes in a font you can also make use of, and of course you can get dingbat fonts too ;)

Here is a quick example of a border made using the } character..

I first created it in Inkscape using the pen tool and messing about with handles and guides and all sorts of stuff.. It worked well and I was quite pleased with it, then I realised it was nothing more than a curly brace character and I could have done it in 1/10th of the time LOLOL

You can find lots of useful shapes in fonts if you stop looking at them as just something you type with ;)

Another example using the number 3..

For this one I made the string of characters and used a shadow layer union to a rectangle then excluded the string of 3 characters from it.

Just an idea of the sort of things you can do fairly quick and easy in SCAL ;)

Hello Louise....I have been off he board for about 2 weeks and the advice you have been giving is great. Thank you for the visual explanation (along with the words).

When I see a number 3 -- that's pretty much all I see. The visual made it so much better. :P :P

You are welcome..

Many people struggle to grasp things without pictures so I try to include a visual reference where possible ;)
